Caribbean-inspired chain will have 16 area locations by fall

Five years after opening its first Metro Atlanta location, Pollo Tropical, the fast casual restaurant known for its citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken and comfort-food-gone-Caribbean sides like corn souffle and balsamic tomatoes, is set to dramatically increase its presence in the market with the opening of four new area restaurants by the end of September. The new locations will expand the restaurant’s footprint to 16 locations across the Metro Atlanta area.

“Pollo Tropical’s expansion across the Atlanta area is a crucial element in the overall growth of our company,” said Pollo Tropical Chief Operating Officer Danny Meisenheimer. “We’ve already opened two new restaurants in the area this year, and with four more coming, it’s a dynamic time for our brand in this market.”

The following restaurants, featuring Pollo Tropical’s signature Caribbean-style design that incorporates bright island colors, are slated to celebrate their grand openings by the end of September:

  • 1404 Highway 20 West in McDonough – Saturday, July 23
  • 1198 Dawsonville Highway Northwest in Gainesville – Saturday, July 30
  • 580 Bullsboro Road in Newnan – Saturday, Aug. 13
  • 4235 Lavista Road in Tucker – Saturday, Sept. 10

The company opened a Hiram location in May, and a second Marietta location in June. The 3,700-square-foot restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating for more than 90 guests, with limited table service and a convenient drive-thru. All locations also offer catering and online ordering, and kids eat free all day on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult entree.
