• POLLO TROPICAL® IS INTRODUCING POLLO TROPICAL EXPRESS® AS DOUBLE DRIVE-THRU AND WALK-UP

Pollo Tropical® – now famous from Florida to Texas for its citrus marinated chicken, roast pork and Caribbean-inspired signature side dishes – is introducing a streamlined, double drive-thru and take-out concept in South Florida that will enable guests to obtain their favorite menu items faster.

Although its menu will be streamlined to enable the best speed of service, Pollo Tropical Express will feature many of the most-beloved Pollo Tropical menu items, including Pollo Tropical’s signature citrus-marinated, flame-grilled chicken, Tropichops®, Mojo Roast Pork, wraps and sandwiches, Family Meals, signature sides and favorites like sweet plantains and crispy yuca.

According to Danny Meisenheimer, interim CEO and President of Fiesta Restaurant Group®, the Pollo Tropical Express concept restaurants will open in key areas of South Florida where the brand demand is concentrated, where the convenience of an additional Pollo Tropical location would benefit the community, and where space is limited or in high demand.  The design allows for a double drive thru, a walk-up window and in some locations outside patio dining tables – all with a smaller footprint.

It does not offer dine in service.  The concept will be launched first in South Florida, and then be expanded to other areas the brand serves.

Pollo Tropical Express will also incorporate upgraded technology that will enhance expediting food orders.
