IT IS NATIONAL CHICKEN LOVER’S DAY: START OFF YOUR WEEK WITH A FUN, FREE MEAL AT POLLO TROPICAL®!
September 2, 2013
ARRIVE DRESSED HEAD TO TOE IN YELLOW AT PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS TO GET A FREE LUNCH!
September 16 won’t be an ordinary Monday for Pollo Tropical® chicken lovers. It’s National Chicken Lover’s Day, and fans of the restaurant brand famous for its marinated, flame-grilled chicken in Florida’s Gulf Coast, Central and North Florida, as well as Atlanta and Nashville can receive a free meal from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to celebrate.
But there’s a catch – you have to be dressed from head to toe in yellow, no exceptions, and cluck at the cashier to receive a complimentary quarter chicken meal complete with rice and beans.
“This marks our Fifth Annual Pollo Tropical National Chicken Lovers Day, and a special event that our guests really look forward to,” said Sandra Pascual, Director of Marketing for Pollo Tropical. “The participation has grown year after year, and guests really have fun with it. It’s also a great way for us to reward our loyal fans.”
Participants are urged to be creative in dressing up and to celebrate the day. The only rule is that all costumes must be yellow from top to bottom, and the cashier has to hear a cluck!
The complimentary quarter chicken meal offer is valid as one meal per costumed customer from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 16. For a complete list of participating locations, visit pollotropical.com.
National Chicken Lover’s Day was originally created in 1990 through a promotional partnership between the National Chicken Council and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, created to bring attention to National Chicken Month – which occurs annually throughout the month of September.
